By posting in the marketplace you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

Please note ARCADE OTAKU takes no responsibility for deals made on the forum. It is up to you to protect yourself by checking reputations and obtaining proof of postage.

You must supply the following information in your ad:

  1. Sources of feedback on eBay or another forum if you have less than 5 positive feedback as a seller within the forum system. Buyers should verify this feedback personally. (You can add your eBay username to your profile in the "User Control Panel".)
  2. Your location. (Please add this to your profile in the "User Control Panel".)
  3. Prices for all items, even "Interest Checks". If you're unsure, post in the "What's it worth" thread.

We do not permit the sale of:

  1. Pirated software (Copied or ripped console and PC games, emulators and ROMs etc).
  2. Bootlegs of arcade games released in the last 10 years.
  3. CPS2 conversions (Phoenixed original boards are allowed).
  4. Stolen property of any kind.

The above rules also apply to wanted ads.

Other rules:

  1. Conversions or bootlegs that do fall within the rules should be clearly described as such and in no way misleading.
  2. For multi-game PCBs, the same 10 year rule applies. If the PCB has any games released in the last 10 years, you can't sell it here unless it is a licensed product. Members are permitted to sell only one multi-game/MAME PCB of the same type to ensure they are not importing or producing them for profit.
  3. Items must be in your possession and ready to ship.
  4. All items sold should be shipped within a week of payment unless otherwise stated within the original thread. If the forum team receive multiple complaints about slow dispatch times, the seller will be suspended from the marketplace. If you cannot meet these terms and provide a professional service, do not sell here.
  5. Please do not ask a seller to hold an item unless you are certain you can purchase it in a matter of a few days.
  6. Any photos of the item available must have been taken by you.
  7. Shipping insurance is presumed to be included unless stated otherwise. If you're not prepared to cover lost or damaged items yourself, give your buyer the option of paying the extra for an insured service. If the buyer chooses not to pay insurance or requests a low customs declaration, it is at the buyers risk of loss or damage. Please retain proof of posting or tracking numbers for all of your sales.
  8. Please test items as soon as they arrive as sellers are less likely to refund a faulty item the longer you leave it.
  9. Please do not open multiple topics unnecessarily. You are allowed no more than two active threads on the first page of each section at any one time. You can lock and unlock your own sales threads, you do not need a moderator to do this for you.
  10. No excessive "bumping".
  11. Do not delete items from your sales thread when sold, just in case any disputes arise on receipt.
  12. If you are a business, please stick to the retail section and read the FAQ therein.
  13. No thread poisoning or complaining about prices.
  14. No gazumping. Listed or accepted prices are final.
  15. The creator of the thread has first refusal in wanted ads.

Other Notes:

  1. Threads that break any of the above rules can be locked or deleted at a moderator's discretion. Repeat offenders will be banned from the Marketplace section.
  2. Please remember that sending a Paypal "Gift" payment entitles you to no buyer protection.
  3. Ads will be automatically purged 90 days after the last post date.
  4. Do not be afraid to leave appropriate feedback if a deal has been unsatisfactory. You can always appeal unjust or retaliatory feedback by contacting one of the forum team. If you make a mistake posting feedback, you can fix it by posting correct feedback and contacting an administrator to delete the wrong line.
  5. If a dispute arises that you would like to discuss with forum members, please use the Dispute Resolution Thread.
  6. Please familiarise yourself with the list of banned members.

Please use the "Report this post" button to notify moderators if a post breaks any rules!
