Konami Wiring

From 1986 or so until 1998, Konami used a standard set of wiring for all of its games. All of this wiring uses JST NH connectors and the pins are numbered as they are on the connector.

4 Pin Audio (Stereo)

Connect directly to speakers, or, turn cab and board down before connecting and connect to amplifier.

• 1 - Right Speaker +
• 2 - Right Speaker -
• 3 - Left Speaker -
• 4 - Left Speaker +

• Hey I built one of these and I get Mono sound out of both channels!

Remember to flip dip switches on Konami GX and newer, or move the 4 pin jumper to "Stereo" on the PCB.

(Verified correct on Gradius II/Vulcan Venture)

4 Pin Audio (Stereo) LifeForce/Salamander

• 1 - Left Speaker +
• 2 - Left Speaker -
• 3 - Right Speaker -
• 4 - Right Speaker +

This board has left/right reversed compared to normal.

4 Pin Audio (Mono, for multiple cab link cable)

This cable should be the same on both ends, and connects to the Konami 4 player board for a 2nd cabinet and the Konami GX motherboard.

6 Pin Video

A 6 inch version connects a Konami GX Sub PCB to the Konami GX Filter board for Type 1, 3 and 4 Sub PCBs. The same version, just longer, is used in the 4 player setup for the 4 player Konami GX games.

• 5 - Ground
• 4 - Ground
• 3 - Blue
• 2 - Green
• 1 - Red

15 Pin Player Harness

This pinout can be used directly, or a version that is the same on both sides can be used for the 4 player setup for 4 player Konami GX games. You will need 1 of these for each player. The Simpsons and other 4 player single screen Konami games use these with spade connectors to connect directly to controls.
