It runs the [http://www.mvista.com/ MontaVista Linux] operating system. Sega initially planned to use the Xbox 360 as the basis, similar to the [[Sega Chihiro]]'s use of the original Xbox, but later decided on the PC format.

Lindbergh hardware is categorized by the color of the PC case's lid. The different colors denote different hardware specifications. The standard hardware is known as Lindbergh Yellow, along with the Lindbergh Red and Lindbergh Blue.
