Tips and Tricks

Dash - Tap forward or backward twice
High Jump - Pull down and then push up in one fluid movement to perform extra high jumps
Throw - Press B1 + B2 to grab and throw your opponent. Can also be performed in the air.
Special Throw - A half circle joystick movement (in either direction) followed by B1 + B2 will perform a special/alternative throw
Item Throw - Press B2 + B3 to throw an item at your opponent (Items can be released from the Treasure Chests and SonSon characters, see below)
Guard Crush Counter - Pressing Back + B3 Parries an attack and then performs a counter hit
Mega Crush - Press B1 + B2 + B3. Useful when cornered and low on health and can also be performed in the air (Requires one bar of super and sheds all collected Gems)
Costume Combos - B1 followed by B1 or B2 in various combinations of up to four presses
Ground recovery - After being knocked down, hold forward or backward and press any button to perform an evasive recovery roll. B1 is a short roll, B2 is a medium roll, B3 is a long roll
Air recovery - After being struck (whilst still in the air) the player can recover to land on their feet. Performed by pressing both B1 + B2, or just B3
Offensive recovery - Press B3 whilst knocked down. If pressed at the right time your fighter performs a recovery special move. For example, Ken performs a wake up Dragon Punch
Start button - Taunt your opponent mid fight
Items - SonSon characters flying above the fighters can be struck to release various items such as Gems, explosive balls and health restoring food. A player can hold up to three balls at a time.
