SEGA states the T-13 table arcade was released for the first time in 1983 for the game Star Jacker (スタージャッカー). The cocktail arcade was designed to be more secure for the operator & lightweight despite its steel chassis which was said to give it a peculiar bright sound; the T-13's grey color originally was meant to match exactly that of the Sega City cabinet , but later the table became available in black and "other bold colors" according to SEGA (see flyer and article below).
