How do I get into the service menu ?

On the remote board, hold down the "degauss" button while powering on the monitor/cab. Once powered on, press "function" on the remote.

I have sourced a PFX in the US, how do I hook up JAMMA 15kHz ?

In the corner of the chassis you will find a 6-pin header that is unpopulated. That is the connector for RGB with high input impedance used for JAMMA games. You need to aquire a JST PH connector housing and matching crimp pins. The pin-out for the connector is: 1 = red signal, 2 = green signal, 3 = blue signal, 4 = video ground, 5 = C-sync (H-sync), 6 = V-sync.

I have sourced a PFX in the US, how do I hook up the power ?

The 5-pin connector on the header plate is for power and an external degauss switch. You need to aquire an AMP MATE-N-LOK (universal range) male connector and matching crimp pins. The pin-out of the connector is: (from left on panel header)1 = live, 2 = neutral, 3 = ground, 4 = degauss switch A, 5 = degauss switch B. The external degaussing switch functionality can be switched on and off from the service menu. The chassis accepts AC input voltages from 90V to 240V 50/60Hz, however remember to set the connector for the degaussing coil to the corresponding closest matching voltage used (mains if the monitor is hooked up directly to the wall plug, note however that some cabs may use an external/internal step down in which case you need to set it to the transformer output voltage if the monitor draws its power from the transformer), i.e. 100V or 220V on the chassis. The connector for the degausssing coil can be found in the power section of the chassis and is usually two black wires in a grey connector.

I have sourced a PFX from Japan/UK, how do I hook up JAMMA 15kHz ?

The header plate of your PFX should have a 8-pin AMP UP connector that is hooked up to the high impedance RGB input of the chassis. You should aquire a male 8-pin AMP UP connector housing and matching crimp pins. The pin-out of the connector is: 1 = red signal (right top slot in housing seen from behind), 2 = green signal, 3 = blue signal, 4 = C-sync (or H-sync), 5 = video ground, 6 = not connected, 7 = not connected, 8 = V-sync (bottom left slot).

I have sourced a PFX from Japan/UK, how do I hook up the power ?

The header plate of your PFX should have a 3-pin AMP UP connector for the power. Some PFX's have been modified and have a JST (type needs confirmation) connector not mounted to the header plate but dangling from the wires. The pinout for both connectors is: 1 = live, 2 = not connected, 3 = neutral.

Where can I find the user manual for the PFX ?

Where can I find the service manual for the PFX ?

Currently, a service manual has not surfaced. If you have one please upload it to the Wiki.

I want to connect my SCART able console (15kHz) to my PFX, which connector should I hook it up to ?

You should use the VGA header for that since SCART compatible signals are intended for 75ohm termination which corresponds to the VGA header on the PFX monitor.

What types of CRT tube are used with the PFX?

Single-focus pure flat CRT tubes of the following types have been observed in the wild:

A68MAU085X90 - Matsushita Color CRT Assy (Ford Racing cab)
A68AKY13X501 - Chungwa (Some Euro Naomi cabs)
A68CPB... - Shanghai Novel (KW0606 chassi)
A68LTF356x - Toshiba Pure Flat (Seen in NNC with KW0606A)
