A few joysticks use the JST NH 5 pin connector. It is easy to rotate the PCB to get a common pinout. All PCB's have GND on pin1, there is no standard color coding. The pin numbering can be read on the connector.

  1. GND - common on all joysticks that use this connector
  2. DOWN
  3. UP
  4. RIGHT
  5. LEFT

This pinout is when the connector on the pcb is facing upwards - i.e the same direction you would push the joystick for UP.
