Cave Co., Ltd. is a developer of bullet hell shooting games, also known as danmaku. Cave is one of several game companies founded after the bankruptcy of Toaplan, with Gazelle, Raizing, and Takumi being the others. Cave has also produced Raizing-style shooting games, such as Ibara and Pink Sweets, due to some programmers leaving Raizing and subsequently being hired by Cave.

Some of Cave's most notable series include the DoDonPachi series, the Mushihimesama series, and the Espgaluda series.

On 22 August 2011, Cave has publicly stated that they will continue to produce new arcade shooters.[1]

Future arcade releases will be on the NESiCA x Live system.[2]
