800 Fathoms is a horizontally scrolling vertical shoot 'em up developed by Amenip . The player has to guide a submarine armed with torpedoes and missiles through five levels while fighting different underwater terrors. At the end of each area the boss-submarine appears. Known as Mariner outside of the US.
