SNK released this (supposed) clone of Tehkan Lava called SNK Lava Type - Video Game cabinet in 1982 and was presumably short lived.

It is unknown if this cab was licensed or not (see legal notice on Tehkan Lava article).

Lacking the typical steel feet of the genuine Lava & New Lava, in reality it resembles more in its structure Tehkan's Mini Lava with its continuous lateral plywood panels whose bottom edges rest on the ground, though the SNK Lava offers a classic type slanted steel footrest absent on the genuine Tehkan Mini Lava. The plywood side panels' curved cutout near the monitor is akin to New Lava (see relevant cabinet pages).
