SNK released in April 1990 the sitdown MV25UP-0 and the present hybrid cocktail/sitdown MV25TA-0, both yet unnamed and simply described in promo material as "6 game Neo Geo MVS cabinets", in an era when Neo Geo AES console was still called the Neo Geo Rental System (available in video rental shops) and not yet available as a "home" console.
Unlike the rare and maybe not officially released SNK MV19TA-0 pure cocktail type, the MV25TA-0 is instead a hybrid type featuring an adjustable monitor angle which encompassed regular table horizontal monitor viewing angle, up to circa 14-15° (editor's note: max. angle not specified in service manual).
A similar hybrid cocktail concept with adjustable monitor angle had already been tried and tested by Jaleco in 1985 with their "Change Up" model and was very short-lived.
The public and arcade venue owners didn't seem very receptive to this idea as a whole. The MV25TA-0 was SNK's last cocktail model.
