SNK released the MVS-U2/25 2-slot MVS & 25" monitor cabinet in 1991, but under the MVS-U2 simpler denomination. The final name change occured circa 1993 to MVS-U2/25 as seen in ads, flyers & catalogs (see August 1993 catalog excerpt in Gallery).

Coincidentally, the 4-slot SNK MVS-U4/25 cabinet was also sold initially in 1991 without the /25 suffix as "MVS-U4/25", suffix which was also added in 1993 exactly at the same time MVS-U2/25 got its final name.

This has caused a certain confusion amongst owners in the past as promo material and official technical papers (including user manual) from SNK were published under older and final cabinet names.
