SNK released the Neo 19 in 1993. The company claimed in promo material that the cabinet's 19" high performance monitor was superior to that of their SC line of cabs, yet SNK kept officially the affiliation with this line of cabs as the promo flyer describes the Neo 19 as a "new Neo-Geo 4-slot SC-style cabinet". The still angular shader hood present in the former SC- models (SC14-2 etc) from 1992 is now revised here in a much rounder form in the Neo 19, similar to the one found in Cosmo's AMBO 18 & 25 models.
An optional upright stand with casters weighing 6kg raises the cab's height from 1340mm to 1490mm.
Stock control panels parts were originally :
- 2x Seimitsu LS-33 compact joysticks.
- 8x Omron XW6Z-0011 30mm diameter buttons (action buttons) with reed microswitches.
- 2x Seimitsu PS-14-D 24mm buttons (Start buttons)
