Introduced in 1993 at AOU '93 in Japan, made by Daisho Shokai for SNK, the first Neo 50 model branded solely SNK. It is a variant of Daisho Shokai's New Tenga 50 cabinet with minor cosmetic changes.

SNK claimed easy maintenance & assembly, Hi-Fi quality speakers along with an ideal fromat for location testing of new arcade games as the cabinet supposedly mimicked cinematic realism with its 50" projector monitor which according to SNK's flyers was "hard to believe it is a projector such the definition is high". Housing stock a NEO-MVH MV2F MVS pcb, it could only permit switching between 2 Neo Geo games.

The official promo material and cabinet graphics feature the following branding: "NEO 50 Neo-Fifty Multi Video System Neo-Geo MVS Neo-Geo MVS Projecter". Projecter is misspelled.

A made-per-order only Neo50 cabinet version with a 4 slot MVS (NEO-MVH MV4F) was briefly advertised during the ad campaign for World Heroes 2 (regular Neo50 was 2-slot, see above). SNK already bundled the 4-slot version with World Heroes 2, Fire Suplex, Fatal Fury 2 and Art of Fighting. See flyer below in Gallery.

NB: Despite the similar "Neo 50" cabinet branding without mention of a "II" or being a second Neo 50 model, the SNK Neo 50 II was a completely redesigned cabinet with a more minimalistic approach that appeared 2 years later in 1995.
