SNK revised in late 1996 the Neo 50 II for use with the novel Hyper Neo Geo 64 system and it became the Neo 50 III. It featured an up-scan converter and besides the Hyper Neo Geo 64, also an MVS system, while still being compatible with JAMMA games.

The dimensions are thus exactly the same as with the former model, only the graphics differ slightly on the outside:

The standalone monitor is 681x1146x1900mm and weighs 140kg, and the control panel is 1320x980x902mm and weighs 160kg.
