A common misconception about the Type II is that it is the version of the SNK Super Neo 29 with an LCD marquee. In actuality, the LCD "sub-monitor", as SNK calls it, is -available- in both versions. Type II refers in fact to an updated version of the Super Neo 29 cabinet hosting a Hyper Neo-Geo 64 system, hence the alternate nickname "Hyper NeoGeo 64 custom cabinet" (used officially by SNK, see Flyer in Gallery) .
