About Me

I have been crazy about video/computer games since the mid 80's when I got my first Commodore C64. Bubble Bobble was one on my most favourite games back then.

I got completely hooked on video games with the Nintendo GamBoy, playing Tetris via link cable with my mates. So far, I have every of Nintendo's game console with the exception of the NES and Nintendo 3DS.

Currenlty, I'm interested in original arcade hardware, especially the CPS2 system and NeoGeo MVS. Next in the list would be the Sega Naomi and Sammy Atomiswave.

Besides that, I am interested in any of the 'old' 8-Bit/16-Bit gaming consoles and do a little programming myself too (VB.Net/C#.Net, Java) from time to time.

Current Setup

Loewe TV with Dreamcats stick

Currently, I'm playing my games via TV, using a self-build MAK/Supergun. The TV is a Loewe monolith CRT-TV, the stick is a Sega Dreamcast Arcade Stick. Not the same as a proper cab, of course, but will have to suffice for the moment.

If I should ever get the opportunity to get a proper cab, I'd like it to be a Sega Blast City or Sega Naomi (sit down).

MAK /Supergun

My self built MAK/Supergun

My self build MAK/Supergun has the size of a EUR 5,- bank note. It does not plug straight onto the JAMMA edge, but uses a wire. It has plugs for 2 joysticks, R/G/B pots to adjust the brightness of each color component, a (non-working?) mono/stereo switch, supports the JAMMA test/service switches as well as an additional 3 button per player extension necessary for my CPS2 games.

So far I have built around 5 MAKs, experimenting with different case sizes and types (stick-on JAMMA edge or wire to JAMMA edge).
