SEGA's ''MULTI CABINET SWING'' was released in 1991, it was designed to accomodate 4 player games such as "''Spider-Man''" with a wide control panel placed higher than that of the previous [[Sega City|CITY]] cabinet. It also sported a convex smoked glass plate to reduce reflections, which is not unlike the [[Konami Domy H.V]] cabinet in concept. SEGA's MULTI CABINET SWING was released in 1991, it was designed to accomodate 4 player games such as "Spider-Man" with a wide control panel placed higher than that of the previous CITY cabinet. It also sported a convex smoked glass plate to reduce reflections, which is not unlike the Konami Domy H.V cabinet in concept. Mr.Yoshimoto who was head of the SEGA R&D lab at the time decided to produce for the first time the SWING cabinet's shell out of FRP (thermoset resin + fiberglass) in order to please the overseas market (see article below).
