Launched on the market circa late June 1996 along with the projector cabinet Konami Domy Theater 50, Konami's Windy claimed to be the first arcade cabinet to feature injection molded polymer for the chassis, and to have substituted a brand name monitor for a model designed and made in-house instead, also a first according to Konami.
