Presented for the first time at conventions in Japan in 1995, the SNK '''Neo 50 II''' , despite  the initial similar "Neo 50" cabinet branding without mention of a "II" or being a second [[SNK Neo 50|Neo 50]] (1993) model, was a completely redesigned cabinet with a more minimalistic approach.
The branding was soon revised, possibly for export, as new cabinet graphics and later promo material showcased clearly ''NEO 50 '''II''''' (see below in Gallery the ''Neo II flyer'').
Similarly to the earlier model, it housed a 2-cart MVS pcb, which could only permit switching between 2 Neo Geo games.
